May Meditation Practice

Beltane is not the moment to search for your next step. It is the threshold where staying still no longer feels possible. After the long inner seasons of winter and spring, something has already been building within you: desire, energy, impulse. Life itself begins pressing forward. And the true question is no longer “What should I do?” but rather, “Will I trust THIS movement, or will I silence myself once again?”

This is the deeper essence of Beltane. It is not about forcing clarity through thought. It is about learning to hear truth through the body and sensations. Through the quiet but undeniable pull that rises from the heart and not from fear, old conditioning or from the mind’s endless calculations. It rises from that deeper place within you that already knows. A place where the answer often feels like a subtle inner warmth, a living yes: “This is mine… and I am ready to move.”

For many, this is where the real challenge begins. Some feel the impulse but do not trust it. Others leap into action too quickly and lose connection with themselves. Some remain deeply sensitive, yet never take the step forward. Beltane invites a different path. It is the sacred union of feeling and movement. The moment where desire becomes embodied, where action remains connected to inner truth. It is warmth, openness, risk, and aliveness without guarantees. And it is precisely here that your authentic path begins to reveal itself.

This is not a time to overthink or invent yourself from scratch. Instead, return your awareness to your body. Notice where something is already stirring within you, even if it feels quiet or barely perceptible. There is nothing to force and nothing to judge. Simply recognize the movement that already exists. Then gently ask yourself: "if fear were absent, if control were no longer running the show, where would this energy naturally want to lead me?"

You do not need immediate answers. You do not need to rush. First, feel the direction. Then bring your awareness deeper into the heart space and sense whether this movement creates expansion or contraction within you. Truth often carries warmth, even when it feels challenging. Misalignment often carries tension. Beltane teaches you to recognize this difference, not intellectually, but somatically.

You are not required to have everything figured out today. But you can begin by honoring what is already alive within you. The movement is already there. Your heart already senses the direction. What remains is allowing yourself to stop turning away. To take one real step, however small, that does not betray the deeper truth awakening inside you.
